Australia Splurges $146 Million to Train Vietnamese to Kill Animals

Putting on its Father Christmas hat, the Australian Liberal government allocated $146 Million to train Vietnamese Abattoirs workers how to kill animals.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Train Vietnamese

Apparently, the Vietnamese don’t know how to kill animals already, and apparently the Vietnamese government has no money to train its own workers. Probably, a $50,000 documentary could have done the same job, but Australia has money to burn, and $146 million seemed like a nice round number. Vietnam should have paid for that.

It sounds a lot like socialism for Vietnam, but The Australian government is now run by faux conservatives. Over the past 20 years, the Liberal party has lost the plot, learning from the Labor Party that Australian Taxpayer money can fund almost anything the political class can think of. This is the reason the Liberal Party is breaking apart now, and its leader is a closet lefty.

This is not unlike the $150 million Australian taxpayers kindly sent to the fake Clinton Foundation, but that is a story for another day.

Brendan Farrell unhappy that government pays to train Vietnamese

It seems that Australia can’t find a few thousand dollars to help our own farmers, but it can spend $146 Million in Vietnam. Australian Farmers can just be left to struggle along on their own. Perhaps we can just let the farmers go bankrupt and then we’ll buy food imported from China – or Vietnam.

How likely is it that the Vietnamese government would spend $146 Million to train Australians how to eat Vietnamese food?

Politicians Abuse Australians

In the video below, Brendan Farrell, who runs The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners gets a little emotional when he realises he has been busting his guts trying to help Aussie farmers survive the drought, and the government Australians pay taxes to is spending the tax money in other countries. It must be because Australians are too affluent to need that money.

Farrell says they have already helped 12,500 Australian farmers, and there are another 10,000 in need. Probably $1 million would have gone a long way to help them, but the farmers got nothing.

Did Australian taxpayers need to help Vietnam treat animals better? Maybe, but $146 million worth? Maybe $1 million. The other $145 million should have either been spent in Australia or maybe it could have paid off a tiny piece of the deficit we’re paying interest on. Unfortunately, politicians all over the world measure their success by the amount of money they are able to get the government to spend on their pet projects.

Note to Politicians and bureaucrats: You don’t have to spend all of the tax money. It isn’t your money to spend. Government does not know how to spend money better than the people who earned it.

Doling Out Public Money

Some politicians think its their job to dole out tax money. That’s not what it’s for.

The same thing has been happening in the USA. The US Congress has been allocating billions of US taxpayer dollars to spend in other countries, but the US had 48 million people receiving food stamp because they either had no job or didn’t earn enough to pay for rent and food. The US has a deficit of $21 Trillion. Here is what that looks like in actual numbers: $21,000,000,000,000.00.

“We have the right, as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of the public money.” -Davy Crockett

Australia has a deficit, yet our politicians are spending money for the benefit of people in other countries. If sending money to train Vietnamese doesn’t stop, we’ll end up with our own version of Donald Trump. Make Australia Great Again #MAGA.
