AFL Country Supporters Group Says New Partnership With The Hospital Research Foundation Group Will Add Charity Focus to Its 2026 Game-day March.

AFL Country Supporters Group says its 2026 Adelaide Oval march will also support medical research under a new partnership with The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

The non-profit supporter group announced the partnership in a media release dated Friday, March 13, 2026. It said the move turns a growing fan tradition into a platform for patient care, fundraising and awareness.

Founder Paolino Tomaiuolo said the group grew from loyal regional support into a broader community for Port Adelaide fans across South Australia.

The release said the story began 12 years ago with the first “Power March.” At the time, the group operated as the Riverland Power Supporters Group.

Tomaiuolo later rebranded it as AFL Country Supporters Group Ltd. The release said that change reflected a goal of making the group more inclusive and creating a wider support hub for Port Adelaide fans.

AFL Country Supporters Group Expands The March

The AFL Country Supporters Group said the 2026 march will follow a new route from Rundle Mall through Adelaide Railway Station and on to Adelaide Oval.

The group said the updated format will bring more noise and more colour.

According to the release, a brass band will lead the march. A banner crew and custom flags will help create a stronger visual presence on the way to the ground.

Tomaiuolo said supporters had responded strongly to the new format.

“The march has taken off with a bang,” he said. “Seeing our fans come together is proof of the positive spirit of country supporters. We are a tribe from all walks of life, and we welcome everyone to walk with us.”

Medical Research Partnership Adds a Broader Cause

The AFL Country Supporters Group said the partnership with The Hospital Research Foundation Group gives the march a role beyond football.

The release said the group will use its platform to raise funds and awareness for life-changing medical research while continuing to back the team on game day.

The AFL Country Supporters Group urged fans to join the march and follow its social channels for match-day updates as the 2026 season builds.
